-rektify Rektify started in the summer of 2001. It was founded by Lee Springer and Reed Darrah. It was shortly joined by the bassist Justin Smith. The bands first name was Shut Up and Listen. Kinda gay I know. Mike Tokarski then joined the band for a short period of time helping out with the singing. Then the band realized the Shut Up and Listen is a really gay name so they then decided to change it to Just Another Day. Then, thanks to Justin and mp3.com, they found out that Just Another Day was already taken by some gothic rock band. Just Another Day played there first show (it wasn't really a show, we just like to call it that) at their chuches Fabulous Friday (kind of like a talent show). It was a complete disaster. Then the band decided to get rid of Mike Tokarski. A couple of months after that Aaron Hoekstra decided to join. And that is where we are at now.
